Description
In 1 Sam 16:14 we read about “an evil spirit from God”. Is this reference unique, or are there other references of an evil spirit of God/the Lord”?
It is about the phrase רֽוּחַ־רָעָ֖ה מֵאֵ֥ת יְהוָֽה. A few comments for analysis: - The word רֽוּחַ must be a noun and could be a part of a status-constructus, e.g. bad-spirit or spirit-of-God. - The word רָעָ֖ה must be an adjective. - God can be called אל יהוה ,אדני ,אלוה and אלהים. His name could be connected to 'spirit' via status-constructus, but also with a preposition. Therefore searchrestriction on part of speech is not possible.
