Description

In which contexts do we find the existential verb הי״ה ‘to be’ with a (predicative) complement marked by the preposition אֶל ‘to(wards)’? The most obvious place is, of course, הי״ה דבר־יהוה אל־׳, but what else do we find?

This search shows that the phrase with אֶל is inconsistently tagged either as PreC (44×, of which 26× with suffixes) or as Cmpl (72×; of which 43× with suffixes).
