Description
In the book of Jeremiah (outside of this passage), who is the object of “driving out”? o Are only the nations driven out or God’s people as well? This is to illuminate whether Jeremiah clearly references the nations by “them” through the predication “driving out.”
-> Since Jeremiah only has this expression with a direct object in Jer 12 (in the passage in question), the search was extended to all of the OT. There it appears that God's people is mainly the object of this expression.
