Paper: Are the nations the object of God's compassion?

Description

In the book of Jeremiah (and additionally further parts of the OT), are the nations ever the object of God’s compassion (“שׁוב”)? Explicitly or implicitly? o Within the immediate context, it would seem odd that God’s compassion upon “my wicked neighbors, who touch the inheritance of my people Israel” is highlighted, rather than the compassion upon his people. So, is God’s compassion upon the nations highlighted elsewhere?
